Chocolate dessert

Wine and chocolate have a lot in common. First, they are both considered aphrodisiacs and both contain flavanols (antioxidants). But despite these striking similarities, it remains a challenge to combine wine and chocolate into a successful culinary masterpiece.
For example, if you combine a delicious glass of dry red wine with a piece of dark chocolate, the wine will taste bitter and sour. This taste imbalance comes from the increased levels of flavanols (different types of tannins) found in both chocolate and wine that collide and infest your taste buds.
Fortunately, there are a number of wines that do excellent in chocolate and cause a great sensation!

A few titillating pairings that you can try out are:
- White chocolate with Rosé Port, Moscatel de Setubal or a delicious Vintage Port
- Milk chocolate with Moscatel de Setubal or a Ruby Port
- Caramel chocolate with Madeira, 20 Year Tawny Port or Moscatel de Setubal
- Black chocolate is delicious with Tawny Port and 10 year old Tawny Port
