Well balanced nose where tejo river's herbs and breeze aromas stand out. Mouth is fruity and mineral, reminding the sands of the Tejo river banks.

 

LUTRA (European Otter) is a globally endangered species. Portugal is one of the few countries where LUTRA still finds the conditions to live without worries, with the Tagus River being the most common habitat. More than a wine, LUTRA is a tribute from Quinta da Alorna and a reminder of the preservation of the River Tagus (Rio Tejo) which has an important influence on our wines.

This wine pairs very well with seafood.

 

Grapes : -

Specifically selected grapes from the TEJO wine region, mostly from Quinta da Alorna but also from other vineyards planted by the banks of the Tejo river. After destalking and soft pressing, the grapes are driven directly to the press, the juice is clarified and alcoholic fermentation begins. Continuously working from the grapes to the bottle, we maintain the strong influence of the Tejo river
