A delicious white wine, light yellow in colour. Intense nose, fresh citrus notes and some hints of wood spices. In the mouth it is generous, rich and a concentrated aroma. Good acidity and persistence followed by a fat finish due to battonage. A very balanced wine, elegant but structured, supple and round in the mouth.

Food pairing

This wine is suited to be matched with main dishes of fish and sea food as well as with grilled white meats.

Grapes: 100% Viognier

Grapes from the family vineyard in Montemor-o-Novo. Careful selection of the grapes, 9 months aging in new French oak barrels with 30 days of intense batonnage and 8 months of rest.

Much of the wine production is sold; only a small selection - superior quality grapes - are used for the production of their own wines. This wine comes from very poor soils of slate and granite, with a continental Mediterranean climate, ie hot and dry days and very cold nights.
