Bairrada - Colinas de Sao Lourenço

Colinas de Sao Lourenço bought in 2009 and located in Anadia, the heart of Bairrada, was the first domain of the Idealdrinks group

The domain has a limestone-clay-rich plot where 65 hectares of vines grow on the rolling hills of the region.

The vineyard, completely renovated and re-planted with various national and international grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Arinto, makes the production of a wide and Diversified range of wines possible.

Carlos Dias, the maker of the Swiss watch brand Roger Dubuis, acquires the Colinas de São Vicente, one of the beads of Bairrada, and aims to make his wines belong to the best of land.

To do this he calls Pascal Chatonnet, "The Frenchman of Bordeaux", known worldwide as one of today's best winemakers and advisor in some of the great wines worldwide.

Soon, its Grand Reserve vintage 2008 red wine drew the attention of national and international critics with the election of the best red wine from Bairrada.

The following year, the Principal Grand Reserve 2009 red wine is world-wide known with the election, by the magazine "Spirito diVino", as one of the world's top 10 red wines to sell in 2013. The wine received 98.1 points, awarded by Luca Gardini, world champion sommelier in 2010.

The Principal Grand Reserve 2009 comes in the top 10 of the 100 best red wines in the world, ex aequo with Petrus, a tenth of Chateau Cheval Blanc, four tenths of Romanée Conti and seven tenths of Poggio di Sotto.
