A delicious digestive, but can also be accompanied by rich aged cheeses, dark chocolate or chocolate mousse.

Grapes: 40% Touriga Nacional, 25% Touriga Franca, 10% Tinta Roriz, 25% Old Vines

The grapes are harvested by hand in small containers and taken tot the lagares to be trodden by foot. Vinified traditionally in granite lagares,a wine with excellent extract is produced. Aged in old wooden vats until bottled in the second year after the harvest. It was bottled in May 2021, with 112 grams of residual sugar.

Serve at cellar temperature at 12 - 15ºC.

when drinking before 2030 then a long decant is recommended and if possible, try it out during a 3 day window (if you can resist), watch it develop and the tannins getting softer. Prime time should be from 2040 onwards.

The 2019 Vintage Port is a blend of 40% Touriga Nacional, 25% Touriga Franca and 10% Tinta Roriz, with 25% from old vines (80+ years), all aged in old balseiros (large upright barrels) for 18 months. Sexy and sensual thanks to its velvety texture, this has classic Port flavors, but it does lean a little to the soft side. With 75 minutes of decanting into a glass, it drinks decently. The fruit and flavor are gorgeous, but the structure is not quite as impressive. Still, overall, a lot of folks will find this to be a pretty Porto with a lot to offer. You can probably approach this young, but it will hold decently too. There were 3,000 bottles produced.
